A few words of faith, encouragement, and
reflection from Pastor Closter.

Celebrating St. Francis of Assisi
Throughout October, Trinity invites you to celebrate the beloved pets who have touched our lives while helping animals in need.
Inspired by the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi and the tradition of the Blessing of the Animals, our Paws of Love Tree will provide a special way to remember and honor our furry companions.
🐾 Add your pet’s name to the tree — whether they are still by your side or forever in your heart. Paws are available at the table, and you may take one home to complete and return.
🐶 Help pets in need by donating pet food or a monetary gift throughout October. Donations will be shared between Dakota’s Dream and Shirley’s Angels Animal Rescue.
You may also make a donation in memory of a beloved pet who has passed away.
Every paw has a story. Every pet deserves to be remembered. ❤️🐾

Christ in Our Home is a quarterly devotional resource that encourages readers to live out their faith daily. Each reflective reading is accompanied by a daily scripture reference and prayer for the day that follows the Revised Common Lectionary. Free copies are available in the Narthex. Stop by and pick up a copy for your daily time of reflection and prayer.

Trinity’s LCW (Lutheran Church Women) will be collecting NEW bedding throughout the month of October to benefit Sleep in Heavenly Peace, a nonprofit that provides beds and bedding to children ages 3–17 in Winchester and the surrounding counties.
Collection will begin October 1.
Needed items include:
• Twin-size sheet sets with pillowcase
 (NOT Twin long, or XL)
• Twin-size blankets (must fit a Twin bed; no small blankets or throws)
• Twin-size comforters
• Twin-size mattress covers
• Pillows for Twin-size beds
“Bed in a Bag” sets are an easy way to provide several needed items at once and can be found at Walmart, Target, and other stores.
Please bring donations to the church Nursery anytime during October. Monetary donations are also welcome; LCW members will be happy to shop for needed items on your behalf.
Thank you for helping provide a warm, comfortable place to sleep for a child in our community!
